About Us

A partnership between the New York State Brewers Association (brewers) and the New York State Beer Wholesale Association (beer distributors). This Draft Quality Program was created to ensure the beer in your glass is of the same quality it was when it left the brewery. Quality is priority #1 to us, and ensuring clean draft systems around the state, and promoting those establishments on this site, will help to ensure that the beer in your glass is the best it can be before you take your first sip.

A properly clean tap system should be cleaned on about a two week cycle to ensure that the beer poured comes through “Clean Lines” representing the product in the manner that the brewer intended it should taste.

How this works is that certified draft line cleaners update the data base on the date that they have cleaned the lines.

As a consumer, you have the ability to check the dates that accounts near you have had their lines cleaned. (If they are using a certified cleaner).

If your favorite account isn’t on the list, that doesn’t necessarily indicate that they haven’t had their lines cleaned. It could indicate that the person cleaning their lines has not been certified by the NYSBA, or they may just be due for a cleaning. Either way, ask them if they are using the “Clean Lines” app.

If you are a cleaner and want to know how to become certified, or an on premise account looking to see how to participate, or a consumer looking for more information, drop us a note at info@cleanlines.com .

There is nothing better than the experience and taste of a cold, fresh clean beer. We hope that this site helps you locate bars and restaurants that will enable you to enjoy this experience.

Cheers!
